According to MEED Projects, some $15 billion-worth of wastewater treatment capacity is planned to be built in the GCC by 2015. Hence, a major highlight at this year’s edition of MEED’s premier wastewater event will be project updates from National Water Company (NWC), Saudi Arabia; Ministry of Public Works – Kuwait, ADSSC, Ministry of Works & Housing – Bahrain, Dubai Municipality and the Ministry of Finance – Egypt. There will also be special update on the role of the public sector in the Muharraq project in Bahrain and client case study on how the hydrocarbons and steel industries operate and monetise their industrial wastewater treatment plants. The event will be held at Park Hyatt Hotel, Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi.
