Metrohm AG and Metrohm International Headquarters have recently invested more than CHF 100 million in a new, state-of-the-art facility located in their hometown Herisau in Switzerland. The new buildings in the Ionenstrasse provide spacious offices, laboratories and production halls to address requirements arising from future growth.
According to a Metrohm spokesperson, the investment is a strong commitment to the local community of Herisau. At the same time, it reflects the company philosophy to serve its customers all over the world with the best of Switzerland’s legendary tradition in manufacturing precision instruments.

Particular emphasis has been put on the training laboratories, conference hall and teaching rooms of the new Metrohm Academy so that staff and global customers can familiarise themselves with Metrohm instruments and absorb the know-how presented in seminars and lectures.
The spokesperson pointed out that Metrohm has completed in just two generation the rise from a one-man start up in the 1940s to the world’s leading company in ion analysis serving customers in more than 80 countries. The comapny offers a complete range of Ion analysis instruments, Peripheral units, Dosing and Liquid handling products, sensors, IC- Columns and accessories for various applications.
