About the Awards

Welcome to the H20 Water Awards 2010. Organised by CPI Industry, H20 Water Awards 2010 celebrates the outstanding achievements of the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) water industry.

These awards recognise projects and programmes, big and small, that have made significant contributions to the advancement of the region's water industry. The projects and programmes are expected to demonstrate a high standard of excellence and quality as well as processes and innovations that promote sustainability.

The selection of the winners from amongst the nominations received will be made by expert panel of jurors. Award winners and nominees are recognised at the H20 Water Awards Ceremony & Gala Dinner to be held in November 2010

All entries will be featured in the H20 Awards Special in December 2010

The Categories

H20 Water Awards will be presented to outstanding nominations in the following categories:

Potable water production, transmission and distribution projects involving, among other things, innovative application of new or existing technologies, engineering excellence in design and construction, managing complexity and timely achievement of project milestones.

Recognises wastewater collection, treatment and disposal projects involving, among other things, innovative application of new or existing technologies, engineering excellence in design and construction, managing complexity and timely achievement of project milestones. This award also welcomes submissions of integrated or standalone wastewater treatment and re-use projects.

Recognises original or innovative application of new or existing technologies or products in water and/or wastewater projects delivering substantial benefits in terms of process efficiency, lower operation and maintenance costs, safety and security.

Recognises Corporates, Organisations, Industry who have achieved significant reductions in their water use through more efficient delivery of water, water recycling, wastewater reclamation and re-use, potable water substitution or process optimisation in water/waste water projects.

Recognises Buildings / Commercial structures, communities that have demonstrated enlightened approach to reducing, reusing, and recycling water.

Recognises consultancy or consultant who have helped advance the region�s water and wastewater sector in this region in terms of knowledge base, technical innovation and best practices.

Recognises products, solutions or designs that specifically addresses the issue of energy consumption in relation to water and/or wastewater projects.

Recognises facility management companies who have helped clients achieve their objectives with regard to reducing, recycling and re-use.

Recognises private and/or public organisations, non-governmental bodies or individuals who have contributed to highlighting water stewardship in the Middle East whether through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, educational campaigns, employee outreach programmes, etc.
